♡Best Products For Oily Skin: Powder & BB Cream ♡

I think everyone can relate in some way or another, when its half way through the day, you look in the mirror, and you have the dreadful makeup meltdown. It's terrible! I personally have really bad oily skin, and have dealt with this many times. But wait, there is good news!...

Luckily there are a slew of products out there that help combat that oily skin that everyone wishes they didn't have! Here are a few that have worked on my oily skin, and I definitely recommend them to you too!

Powders ♡

1. Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder

This face powder is my favorite out of all the drugstore powders that I own. I apply it over any kind of foundation or BB cream that I am currently wearing, and then throw it in my makeup bag for touch ups during the day. It keeps my face completely matte for probably 4 hours. Which is a lot considering how oily my face is. I would say is has medium coverage. The best part about this powder is the price tag...only $3.97! So it won't break your budget, and still keep you looking flawless.

Pros:
  • Matte Finish
  • Doesn't look cakey, even after reapplication.
  • Good staying power
  • Cheap price: 3.97, and can be found at any drugstore.
Cons:
  • Doesn't work good without foundation.
  • Nothing else, I love this powder.

2. Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder

From the name of this powder, you can obviously tell that it is a loose powder. This powder has a medium to full coverage effect, and when you put it on over foundation or BB cream, it gives you a silky- smooth feel to the skin. It doesn't make your skin look fake, just flawless. With my experience with it, I like the fact that it smooths over my acne and pores. It does an average job at keeping the face matte. But when it comes time for touch ups, make your to have some oil blotting sheets because this powder can build up to look cakey after so many reapplications. It is also under five dollars at the drugstore!

Pros:
  • Silky Smooth Finish
  • Combats oil
  • Medium-to-full coverage
  • Can be worn alone.
  • Cheap Price: $4.97
  • Drugstore Product
Cons:
  • Can get cakey if layered too many times
  • Only comes in two shades: light and medium

BB Cream ♡

1. Loreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier B.B Cream

Normally, BB creams aren't really formulated for oily skin. This BB cream, actually claims to hydrate your skin. I tried it on a whim, and what do you know..it doesn't make my face oily! I still have to apply powder during the day, or blot, but come on now, it's not a miracle worker! Plus, it is a perfect winter BB cream, when my face tends to get a little dry in some places. It comes out of the tube white, and when you rub it in..it changes to the exact color of your skin. It actually looks like second skin to me. It hides my imperfections, and evens out my skin tone. It's not too pricey at the price of $7.96, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny. The best part about this BB cream is that it is non-comedogenic, which simply means it won't clog your pores.  Voila, heaven in a bottle!

Pros:
  • Medium Coverage
  • Looks like skin once applied
  • Comes in 4 shades: Fair, Light, Medium, & Deep...which form to your unique skin tone :)
  • Doesn't clog your pores....i.e. NO BREAK OUTS!!
  • Stays put all day long
Cons:
  •  Need powder touch up through the day, only once or twice though
  • Nothing else, this stuff is amazing!!!

2. Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfecter- Combination to Oily Skin

This is the PERFECT summer BB cream. It helped keep my makeup from have a makeup meltdown during those hot and humid days. Like always, it got a little greasy towards the end of a long hot day, but it definitely didn't show it. Even if my face was greasy, it didn't look terrible. Now that's saying something. It has medium coverage, and keeps you looking non-greasy for about 5 hours. This is a must have for my summer time face routine, because it doesn't feel heavy on the face. It is a little pricey, at 11.97 per bottle, but a little goes a long way with this stuff. I used it all summer and still have half the bottle left.

Pros:
  • Holds up in hot and humid weather
  • Stays on all day
  • Keeps face matte for about 5 hours
  • Medium Coverage
  • Feels light on face
  • 1 bottle lasts a long time
Cons:
  • Pricey: $11.97..but so worth it if you have the extra money! :)
  • Runs a little dark in shades (I used light/medium on my tan skin)
